Merienda and Almusal

Some drawings of my Filipino characters. I wanted to practice line weights and line art. The first picture features main character Selene and her brother Daniel listening to a Filipino folklore legend about the origin of bananas being told by their Lola (Tagalog for grandma) Mayumi. This drawing includes some "merienda" or snacks: pastillas, puto, and pandesal.

The second drawing is a sweet moment between Selene and her partner Bertie. Selene is serving her some longsilog which is just a combination of long- (longanisa, Filipino sausages), si- (sinangag, garlic fried rice), and -log (itlog, egg).
